Nominations are Open
District leader elections are held during the Annual Meeting of the District Council at the District conference. Nominations have been open since November. Have you sent yours to the DLC? Perhaps you have thought about taking the next step in your Toastmasters leadership journey and were waiting to commit. If so, now is the time to consider serving as a District Leader for the 2024-2025 Toastmasters year.
The District Leadership Committee is charged with nominating candidates for District office. The purpose of the Committee is to find the best-qualified candidates possible to serve as District leaders. If you have any questions about the process please Email DLC Chair (Micheak S Kirkland, PDD DTM)
Dates and Deadlines
Elected Positions
FEB 24, 2024 (Eight (8) weeks prior to the election date.) Is the deadline for candidates to apply for ELECTED POSITIONS.
The District Leadership committee seeks applications for District Leadership Roles:
- District Director
- Program Quality Director
- Club Growth Director
- Division Director
Appointed Positions
Individuals interested in being considered for Public Relations Manager, Administration Manager, Finance Manager, Area Director, or other appointed positions may submit their applications to the DLC Chair or the District Director at any time. While there is no deadline for candidates to apply for appointed positions, if you wish to be considered by the DLC, please submit your application by March 23, 2024 (Four (4) weeks prior to the election date).
The District Leadership Committee seeks applications for appointed positions:
- Public Relations Manager
- Finance Manager
- Administrative Manager
- Area Directors
- Other appointed positions
The Application Process
DLC report and biographical forms are emailed to all members of the District Council and posted on the District website.
District Leadership Committee Chair
Eligible floor candidates shall declare their intent to run in writing to the District Director after the DLC report has been published and at least seven (7) days prior to the Annual Business Meeting of the District Council on 4/20/2024.
Please review the following documents to fully understand the “District Leader Qualifications and Responsibilities” before submitting your application package to the DLC Chair Michael Kirkland, PDD District 16 – Mike.s.kirkland@p66.com
The application package must contain all FIVE of the following documents:
- Candidate Application
- District Leader Nominating Form (you can self-nominate)
- District Officer Biographical Information
- District Leader Agreement and Release Statement
- Professional Headshot.
