Subject: Nomination Report of the Leadership Committee for 2024-2025 Term
Mr. District Director,
The Leadership Committee forwards this report to you for District 16 leadership positions for the 2024-2025 Toastmasters year. The committee considers candidates most likely to be successful at leading the District’s members and fulfilling the District’s mission. Our present and future leaders must be built up and made to feel that the service they give is valued. Leadership is a privilege not a right.
The committee included representatives of each Division in the District. I cannot express highly enough my appreciation to these volunteers for their willing service to the District.
Nomination Committee Members

All candidates were interviewed by committee members.
The Leadership Committee interviewed candidates to:
- · Identify candidates with vision for future success of the District.
- · Test candidate knowledge of the Toastmasters program, purpose, and scope.
- · Discern candidate personal experience which could help indicate a stronger candidate.
- · Balance facts gained from interviews with information gained from other sources.
- · Evaluate candidate past performance in creating and executing District programs.
- · Judge candidate execution of current position responsibilities.
This report is presented to the District Director who is responsible for submitting the report to all members of the District Council along with the nominee biographies at least four weeks prior to the business meeting. The information is to be posted on the District’s website.
The chair of the Leadership Committee (or the District Director) will notify the candidates of the results of the Leadership Committee’s review.

- Division K Director – This position is incomplete.
- Division L Director – This position is incomplete.
The DLC report is incomplete since the DLC was unable to nominate the required number of candidates for any individual offices (Division K and L). If the DLC report is incomplete, qualified candidates may run from the floor for any position for which the DLC did not nominate the required number of candidates.
Floor Nominations:
All candidates who applied to the Leadership Committee for evaluation are eligible to be nominated from the floor into the position they applied (if they were not nominated by the committee). They are also eligible to be nominated for any incomplete position. No candidate can be nominated for more than two positions. If the candidate is a member of the District Council, they may Self-nominate. If they are not a member of the District Council, they will need a member of the Council to nominate them. In all cases, no others may run from the floor.
All candidates who intend to be floor nominees, must notify the District Director of their intention seven days prior to the business meeting.
