Club Coaches, Sponsors, and Mentors

Club Coach

The Club Coach Program allows experienced Toastmasters members to assist in rebuilding club membership and restoring club quality. A successful club coach will:

  • Build rapport with club officers and members
  • Instill enthusiasm, camaraderie, and structure within the club
  • Assess the club environment and recommend best practices for success
  • Work with club officers to develop a Club Success Plan
  • Motivate the club to strive for Distinguished Club Program (DCP) recognition

Coaches who help clubs achieve Distinguished status (or higher) in the Distinguished Club Program will receive credit in the education program and a digital certificate of accomplishment. We’re always looking for Club Coaches. If you’re interested, please contact cgd.district16tm@gmail.com.

Club Sponsors

Some of the most famous names in business have sponsored clubs, including AT&T, Bank of America, Chevron, eBay, Google, and Microsoft. Sponsored clubs provide their members with the confidence and communication skills to flourish in their jobs; as members are able to deliver stronger presentations at work, lead more productive staff meetings and relate better with clients and colleagues.

A sponsor typically provides one or more of the following:

  • Meeting location
  • Charter fee
  • New member fee
  • Membership dues
  • Incentives for completion of Toastmasters education paths

Club Sponsors have one of the most fun jobs of all! If you’re interested, please contact cgd.district16tm@gmail.com.

Club Mentors

Mentors provide members with help and practical advice, such as tips on preparing speeches and on club roles and responsibilities. They encourage protégés to grow as leaders and offer them reassurance if they hit a rough patch.

  • Be a member for a minimum of six months
  • Have completed mentor training
  • Have expertise in the area in which the protégé wants to grow
  • Meet with a protégé at least two hours every month for at least six months

Club Mentors are able to nurture club members into greatness! If you’re interested, please contact cgd.district16tm@gmail.com.
